Should you get offended if someone wishes you a Merry Christmas?

Is it politically incorrect to wish someone Merry Christmas?

Feeling offended is feeling an emotion.

Often we place external circumstance as the cause of our emotion, meaning we are at the control of others.

Is it good to be at the whim of others that may want to manipulate you?

Or do we choose to be offended?
